Upon disembarking, passengers enthusiastically explored the local culture, engaging with vendors and purchasing unique handmade items. Many also savored the island’s traditional food and beverages. Prior to docking in Dominica, the Disney Fantasy had visited Antigua and Saint Lucia. Its next destinations include Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and Disney’s private island in the Bahamas.

Launched in 2012, the Disney Fantasy is the fourth vessel operated by Disney Cruise Line, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. As the second ship in the Dream class, it offers a wide array of amenities designed to deliver a magical experience for guests of all ages. Noteworthy features include a water coaster, enchanted art displays, a distinctive dinner show, and a boutique for young princesses and pirates. The ship also hosts lively pirate-themed party nights.

The off-season arrival of Disney Fantasy has significantly boosted Dominica’s local economy, demonstrating the island’s capacity to welcome visitors throughout the year. This visit reinforces Dominica’s reputation as a top cruise destination in the Caribbean.

Tourism authorities have reported that the 2023-2024 Cruise Season, which began on October 30, 2023, is anticipated to exceed initial visitor projections. The season is expected to see around 222 cruise calls and an impressive 363,063 passengers, representing increases of 17% and 47%, respectively, from the previous year.

A notable highlight of this season is the 13 inaugural calls, reflecting the growing confidence international cruise lines have in Dominica. Throughout the season, the island has warmly welcomed visitors from around the world, offering them a chance to experience the rich culture and natural beauty of the Nature Isle.
