Cook Islands Tourism Embraces New Phase with Key Board Additions

The Cook Islands Tourism Corporation is pleased to welcome Ani Thompson and Halatoa Fua as the newest members of its Board of Directors. Ani Thompson serves as the Regional General Manager at Pacific Resort Group, and Halatoa Fua is the present Director of the National Environment Service and a former CEO of CIT. The Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Hon. Mark Brown, has officially reappointed all board members with new warrants for a term of two years.

The board also includes current members Chairman Ewan Smith, Rohan Ellis, Dianna Clarke-Bates, Onu Hewett, and Apii Porio. This update comes after the departure of Emile Kairua and Serena Hunter, both of whom were honored by the Prime Minister for their significant contributions to the Cook Islands Tourism Corporation. With these changes, the Corporation is focused on advancing sustainable tourism initiatives that enrich the local community and enhance the visitor experience, thereby supporting the ongoing prosperity and sustainability of the Cook Islands’ tourism sector.
