Tourism Ireland is now accepting submissions for the third round of its 2024 International Programming Ireland Fund. Applications are due by 3pm GMT on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. This initiative, now in its fourth cycle, aims to enhance and encourage top-tier television productions that effectively promote the island of Ireland to global audiences.

For this round, particular emphasis is being placed on projects that highlight Northern Ireland, although entries that feature various locations across Ireland are also encouraged. Eligible applicants include seasoned independent production firms—whether local, international, or in a co-production arrangement—that have a proven history of crafting exceptional content for television broadcasters beyond Irish shores.

The fund for the year 2024 stands at €1,700,000, intended to back several television endeavors. Financial support from the fund is distributed on a variable scale, with each qualifying project able to receive up to €200,000, which must not exceed 50% of the project’s total budget.

Over the years, the International Programming Ireland Fund has facilitated the production of nearly 50 high-caliber international TV projects across genres such as documentaries, lifestyle, specialist factual, and factual entertainment, which have been aired on prominent networks including Channel 4, Sky, PBS, ITV, France 3, Arte, Smithsonian, BBC, Food Network UK, Mediaset Canale 5, and SVT, among others.
