Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau teams with MACEOS, enhancing Malaysia Business Events Week 2024 through strategic partnership.
The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and the Malaysian Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (MACEOS) are thrilled to declare the formalization of a Strategic Partnership Agreement. This pivotal alliance marks a significant achievement for the ninth edition of the Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) in 2024, underscoring our commitment to fostering a more diverse and vibrant business events sector.
During a ceremonial event in Putrajaya, the shared dedication of MyCEB and MACEOS to enhance Malaysia’s business events industry was prominently showcased. Through this partnership, both organizations aim to create a more influential and extensive MBEW 2024.
Reflecting on this evolution, Mr. Azman Haji Tambi Chik, CEO of MyCEB, remarked, “This year’s MBEW is particularly significant for MyCEB. In the past, we facilitated the BE Xchange, allowing buyers and sellers to connect and conduct business. Recognising the need for a more integrated approach, we are thrilled to partner with our esteemed industry colleagues and have MACEOS lead this crucial segment.”
MACEOS is showcasing 99 booths at the expo, with 81% already reserved, demonstrating significant interest. Meanwhile, MyCEB has successfully attracted 49 hosted buyers, aiming to ensure an energetic and interactive experience.
Set to take place from August 19 to 21 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the MBEW 2024 will host EVENTXPO 2024. Themed “Everything, Everywhere, Events!”, the expo is poised to be a leading hub for the latest offerings in business events, including products, services, technologies, trends, and insights.
Mr. Azman continued, “Our partnership with MACEOS is more than a strategic move; it reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence in the business events industry. We hope this collaboration will pave the way for an even bigger and better MBEW in the years to come, setting new industry standards.”
Datuk Dr. M Gandhi, President of MACEOS, added, “We are enthusiastic about this partnership with MyCEB. EVENTXPO 2024 will not only showcase the dynamic nature of our industry but also provide a vital platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and career development.”
EVENTXPO 2024 is set to include interactive workshops, enlightening presentations from industry leaders, and a career fair targeting both students and professionals interested in the business events sector. Additionally, the event will spotlight the MACEOS National Youth Challenge, inviting young innovators to showcase their creative concepts for business events.
The strategic collaboration between MyCEB and MACEOS aims to draw a diverse group of participants, including key decision-makers, conference and exhibition organizers, event planners, venue managers, marketing experts, technology providers, government officials, trade associations, corporate entities, and exhibitors from multiple industries.
