Tourism Malaysia London is excited to participate once again in the eagerly awaited National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival, scheduled for July 20-21, 2024, at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London. This event is a celebration of both travel and gastronomy, providing attendees with an opportunity to experience Malaysia’s diverse food heritage.
Following three successful editions, the festival returns, even more expansive and impressive. Malaysia, known for its cultural diversity and dynamic food scene in Southeast Asia, will present an enticing selection of dishes at booth B2. The Tourism Malaysia London office will present Malaysia as a top destination for food enthusiasts, highlighting the unique blend of Malay, Chinese, and Indian culinary influences that shape its food scene. The booth will also feature a variety of Malaysia’s tourism and hospitality offerings, including varied accommodations, extensive tours, and stunning natural scenery.
The festival offers a rare opportunity to observe world-famous chefs demonstrating their skills and sharing their preferred culinary techniques.
On July 21st, from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm, celebrated Malaysian chef, author, and television personality Norman Musa will host a special Malaysian Street Food Masterclass at the festival’s “Saffron Theatre.” Chef Musa will teach attendees how to prepare roti canai accompanied by Malay chicken curry.
Furthermore, visitors to the Tourism Malaysia booth can enter a draw to win a trip to Malaysia, courtesy of a collaboration with Malaysia Airlines and YTL Hotels. The prize includes flights on Malaysia Airlines, luxury accommodations at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, and Tanjong Jara Resort, with added perks such as access to the Golden Lounge in Kuala Lumpur during the return trip.
Tourism Malaysia London invites everyone to the National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival to delve into Malaysia’s rich culinary traditions and savor an array of flavors and aromas that promise a captivating culinary adventure. Don’t miss this incredible chance to immerse yourself in a cultural and gastronomic feast.
