Summer 2024 is set to sizzle in San Diego as the city gears up for a dazzling array of milestone celebrations. Over 20 beloved San Diego landmarks, spanning family-friendly attractions, top-notch dining spots, renowned cultural institutions, historic venues, and lively events, are preparing vibrant anniversary extravaganzas.
“This year, San Diego offers an overflowing array of celebratory experiences for every type of traveler,” said Julie Coker, president and CEO of the San Diego Tourism Authority. “From exciting new exhibits at our world-class attractions and museums, to newly minted guest experiences Petco Park, to specially curated menus at acclaimed restaurants, these celebratory festivities will highlight our region’s rich history and appeal.”
In San Diego this year, numerous institutions, attractions, and events are marking significant milestones, ranging from 5 to 150 years of operation:
Fifth Anniversaries:
San Diego Seals Lacrosse: Following a standout season in 2023-24, the San Diego Seals of the National Lacrosse League celebrate their record-tying 14 wins and advancement to the NLL Playoff Semifinals.
La Jolla Music Society’s The Conrad: The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center, dubbed The Conrad, continues to shine as a premier venue since its 2019 opening, boasting the renowned Baker-Baum Concert Hall.
