High-speed rail services will be enhanced during the Easter holiday to cater to the public’s travelling needs, the MTR Corporation announced on Monday.
The railway firm said, following discussions with mainland railway authorities, services for the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link will be enhanced starting March 15, with more trains running between Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and Guangzhoudong, Shenzhenbei, and Futian stations.
For March 15, 17, 22, 24, there will be an additional 7 pairs of trains added each day, or 14 trains, operating between Hong Kong and Futian.
Meanwhile, for March 16, 23, and from March 29 to April 1, there will be an additional 11 pairs of trains added each day, or 22 trains, operating between Hong Kong and Futian.
Tickets for these additional services are now available for purchase, the MTR said, with the additional services eligible for the Flexi-trip Arrangement – which allows passengers to make changes to their reservations on the same day.
